The job will be guiding tourists throughout Albania. This can be in big groups, with a driver and a coach or in smaller groups. You will have the responsibility of giving the tourist a perfect holiday. You are the link between the tourist and Albania. We are looking for employees who like working with different kinds of people and that have a good knowledge of Albania. Most of our tours include walking and hiking, so you should be fit enough to handle this.

Part of the job is explaining to the guests about Albania (the culture, the history, the habits, etc). The other part of the job is organization of the logistics. Albania is a country in transition and things are always changing. You need to be flexible and to have a problem solving mentality. Being an OA guide/tour leader, you need to be able to speak Albanian and another European language (Italian excluded).

OA guides are service-minded people with an (creative) input working in a flexible environment!

Tasks of an OA guide/ tour leader:

Hosting

• Make the guests feel comfortable
• Give explanation about Albania, History, Culture, Habits

Logistics

• Arrange logistics
• Communicate program to group
• Report to the OA office
• Solving any problems that arise while in the field
• Make the guests feel comfortable and safe
• Maintain group atmosphere
• Explaining Albanian culture and history

Education

• You need to have a university degree or equivalent. Preferably within social studies, history or languages.
