Mount Dajti Bike and Hike

This tour is for people who like spend an active day in an attractive mountainous landscape. We will take a panoramic cable car ride up to the National park, after which we have a cup of coffee, take a short hike to the ruins of a fortress, and then pedal down by bike, back to the city! Tirana, Albania's capital, extends westwards from the foothills of Mount Dajti, 1612 meters high. A visit to the Dajti National Park is a great way to spend a day in an attractive mountainous landscape outside and literally 'above' the city. The tour starts with a bike ride through Tirana, starting in the center to the Dajti Express cable car station. Together with your bike you will take a panoramic cable car ride up the mountain. Once everyone is at the top, we will start with a short bike ride to one of Dajti's many restaurants to enjoy a cup of coffee with a beautiful view over the city and the remote highlands surrounding it. From here we will make a short hike up on a trail that leads to the ruins of a fortress. After a short snack break we start walking back down to the restaurant to get on our bikes. We will bike down from the mountain, passing through the rural areas surrounding Tirana, and then return back to your hotel.
